Welcome to Dragonflies Class.  In our class we have three-year groups – 4, 5 and 6. 

In Dragonflies, we encourage children to take on more responsibility and show leadership across the school by being buddies with Bumblebees Class, helping during lunch breaks and being on the school council. 

All the children within the class support each other in a variety of ways – socially, educationally, emotionally, and the range of ages is not a barrier to this support. We develop speaking and listening skills alongside various approaches to the children’s learning. These include active physical learning, creative hands-on learning, investigative and exploratory learning and peer support (learning from each other).

The children have access to the complete primary curriculum. This includes maths, literacy, science as well as the foundation subjects of history, geography, music, PSHE, RE, ICT, DT and art.

We have a wide and varied curriculum and make sure the children have a range of experiences and opportunities through trips, visitors and residentials. 

Our mornings are based around Maths and English, whilst the afternoons are dedicated to the wider curriculum.
